Orders & Payments

Do you accept cycle to work vouchers?

We will soon be accepting all Cycle To Work Schemes. In order to complete a cycle to work purchase please email through your certificate or Letter of Collection to orders@pedalevolution.com, along with the bike (& accessories) you want, your shipping address and your mobile number.

I've not received order confirmation?

If you've not received an email order confirmation, please check your junk/spam folders – sometimes confirmation emails can end up there!

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major cards, Paypal, Splitit (split the cost with your existing credit card) and all Cycle to Work providers.

Im having issue with the checkout?

We're sorry to hear you're having issues when attempting to checkout.

If your debit or credit card is being declined when attempting to make a payment we recommend contacting your bank, unfortunately we don’t have any control over the payment method used. If your bank has sent you an authorisation message, this needs to be completed before attempting payment again.

Do you offer finance options?

Do you offer a student discount?

Unfortunately we do not offer a student discount at the moment.

How do I cancel my order?

Send us a message via our web chat option in the bottom right hand corner of our website or email us at orders@pedalevolution.com

Any orders cancelled after 12 hours of placing the order may be subject to additional fees. If your order has been dispatched, you (the buyer) will be responsible for any costs associated with returning the item. Any refunds can only be issued to the same payment method which was used to place the order.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Please see our product pages. Delivery times can vary between brands. You will also receive tracking information upon ordering where you can check live delivery status.

Do you offer click and collect?

We do not currently offer click and collect, orders are sent dircectly to your shipping address.

Ready-to-Ride Delivery: Opt for your e-bike to be fully assembled, tested, and ready to hit the road for an additional £145.

Expert Delivery & Onboarding: Our e-bike specialist delivery drivers will coordinate with you to arrange a convenient delivery date. Upon arrival, they'll guide you through your new bike's features and address any queries you may have.

Delivery Schedule: Please be aware that full build white-glove delivery might slightly extend your delivery timeframe. Nevertheless, the convenience and tailored service outweigh any extra wait or inconvenience.

Eco-Conscious Packaging Disposal: We'll handle the recycling of all packaging, reducing your environmental impact.

Will my bike be delivered assembled ?

Most of our bikes will arrive to you 90% assembled, which means you may need to attach the pedals, handle bars, or a few other minor parts. please see our assemble guide for more information.

Whats your Shipping & Delivery policy?

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, we will pre-authorise your card however your card will not be charged. We will then contact our supplier to confirm that the product you have purchased is available for immediate shipment. Once confirmed we will process the payment and your order will be prepared for dispatch. If there is any delay such as an item which is on backorder, we will void the pre-authorisation and contact you to let you know.

Order Delivery

Once your order has been placed, assuming it is in stock and available for dispatch, we will charge your card and your order will be dispatched within 5 working days. Where possible tracking details will be sent to you by email within 24 hours of your order being dispatched. If you have not received tracking details within 6 working days, please reach out to us via email at info@pedalevolution.com so that we can help. Delivery times vary depending on which brand you order.

Damages:

We ask that you thoroughly inspect all items at the point of delivery. We advise you not to accept delivery of any damaged items. If you discover that an item has been damaged, please send clear photos of the damaged items to info@pedalevolution.com so that we can open an insurance claim on your behalf.

If the return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

If you are requesting a return due to a change of mind, there will be a charge to cover the delivery costs and a restocking fee.

How far can I ride on an E-bike?

On an E-Bike with a 250 Watt motor you can ride approximately 40-50 miles in pedal assist mode. Using the Throttle only without pedalling you will be able to travel approximately 20 miles. On a lower setting where you have to pedal more you can expect to ride approximately 60 miles. 

Can I ride an electric bike in the rain?

Yes, most electric bikes are highly effective in the rain. They are usually classed as water resistant which means that you can ride them in the rain and through puddles without any issues.


It is advised that you check the relevant manufacturer's instructions regarding water resistance before using your bike. As with any bike the use of power washers for cleaning is NOT advised.

How do I charge the battery and how long does it take to charge?

When the Battery needs charging, simply remove it and plug in the adapter provided, this can be used on standard 13amp household sockets. Check out our battery care guide.

Most E-Bike with Lithium polymer batteries will charge fully in 4-6 hours.

All the e-scooters and e-bikes that we sell have an automatic cut off in the battery management system that will stop charging when the battery is full. We recommend keeping your battery charged up at every opportunity.

How long will the battery last before it needs replacing? 

With proper maintenance your battery will not need replacing for over 1000 charge/discharge cycles. Make sure to charge you battery even when you are not using it (at Last every two weeks), this will prolong the battery life. If you used your bike to ride 40-50 miles every two days, your battery will last up to 6 years.

Are there legal restrictions on E-Bikes?

You can ride an electric bike if you’re 14 or over, as long as it meets certain requirements. These electric bikes are known as ‘electrically assisted pedal cycles’ (EAPCs). You do not need a licence to ride one and it does not need to be registered, taxed or insured. An EAPC must have pedals that can be used to propel it.

It must show either:

  • the power output
  • the manufacturer of the motor

It must also show either:

  • the battery’s voltage
  • the maximum speed of the bike

Its electric motor:

  • must have a maximum power output of 250 watts
  • should not be able to propel the bike when it’s travelling more than 15.5mph

An EAPC can have more than 2 wheels (for example, a tricycle).

Are there legal restriction on e-scooters?

Electric scooters are completely legal to buy and own. They are currently not to be used on any public roads, footpaths or cycle lanes. They can be legally ridden on private land with the landowners permission.

They are soon going to be legalised to be ridden in public with certain restrictions.

It is the complete responsibility of the customer to ensure you operate an electrical scooter within all national and/or local laws. The customer assumes all liability and risk associated with the use of electric scooter products and holds Pedal & Chain & its owners free from any liability caused by their use.

Can I ride my electric bike without using the motor?

Absolutely! The motor can be turned off and you can use your electric bike like any conventional push bike which is great if you only want to use the motor for assistance at certain times such as on steep inclines.

Returns

Can I return my order?

Our returns policy varies between 14 - 30 days depending on the supplier or manufacturer. Please check the detailed brand supplier returns policy Here

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

To obtain a full refund, the goods must be returned in an “as new” condition with all components included in their original packaging. “As new” condition is defined as unridden. 

If you are requesting a return due to a change of mind, there may be a charge to cover the delivery costs and a restocking fee.

Please do not sign for a parcel that has been damaged during delivery, once signed we cannot claim for damages.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. To return your product, you should email us at returns@pedalevolution.com and we will advise the next steps. text, links and images and also group articles into categories.

I have a problem with my E-bike, who do I speak to?

If you are having issues with your new bike or scooter, please email info@pedalevolution.com with details of the issue that you’re experiencing. Please include your order number in the subject of your email and any supporting photos or videos.

How long do refunds take?

Please allow 10 working days from the return date for our engineers to process the return.

Once the return is processed you expect your payment to be refunded within 14 days.

Do you offer a warranty?

We are pround to offer manufacturer warranties on our bike frames, batteries and mechanical parts.
